Experiment at the INSEAD Alumni Forum 2025

Symposium: 5 April 2025 – Passenger Terminal, Amsterdam

Together with Kirsten Spar van der Hoek (Founder, Center for Innovative Leadership), the INSEAD Alumni Association The Netherlands, and under the leadership of graduate student Vidhi Chopra, we conducted an experiment during the INSEAD Alumni Forum Europe using AI to elicit values from participants’ spoken conversations. Vidhi compared these AI-derived values with results from her value survey completed by participants before the event.

For this, she used a computational tool which she developed based on prior work by Senthil Chandrasegaran and trained based on our comprehensive value framework. This comparison revealed fascinating insights into how participants prioritize values, which values were overlooked in conversations, and which appeared closely interconnected.

Vidhi’s findings were transformed into a compelling video by students Angela Hanna, Renee Brants, and Juwe van Vliet, which was showcased during the Forum’s closing ceremony.
