Project Value Modeling for Societal Transitions

Project Value Modeling for Societal Transitions supports transdisciplinary project and program teams in systematically approaching their joint value creation process to increase the efficiency and effectiveness with which they address societal missions. This novel design method is founded on a transdisciplinary understanding of value, existing design-for-value methods, and extensive research on project and program teams focusing on societal missions (in domains including the built environment, health, sustainability, energy, and water).

Workshop

The method helps users collectively develop a strategy for joint value creation for their project or program—whether ongoing or about to start—using physical tool materials.

It enables users to:

— Distinguish between different types, levels, and time horizons of value.

— Identify tensions and synergies between values from a comprehensive stakeholder perspective.

— Develop a joint strategy based on key values and value tensions that play a role in the project or program.
